Leila Billings is an associate at Itzler & Itzler P.A. focusing on serious personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, and wrongful death cases.
Prior to joining Itzler & Itzler P.A., Billings spent 10 years working in the real estate transactional legal field. Her extensive experience representing individuals, corporate entities and lenders has allowed her to gain valuable insight and knowledge.
Leila received her dual Juris Doctor and Master’s of Business Administration degrees from Nova Southeastern University and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2011. She received her degree in Psychology from Boston University in 2001. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity.
Leila is the President of The Broward County Hispanic Bar Association. Leila is also a board member of the Florida Justice Association and The Broward County Justice Association.She is also an active member of The Broward County Women Lawyers Association, The Broward County Bar Association and numerous other charitable organizations. In addition, Leila founded and sits on the Board of Directors of Attorneys for HOPE, a non-profit dedicated to providing pro bono legal services and support to the South Florida community.
Leila was recently nominated, for the second year in a row, for the Heart of the Community Award for Broward County and won the 2011 Volunteer of the Year award within Hands On Broward. She is a dedicated project leader in Volunteer Broward with over 400 hours of service in the tri-county area this past year alone. She devotes her volunteering efforts to helping children through Kids in Distress and other local charity organizations serving the needs of underprivileged and neglected children. She also dedicates herself to raising money for various cancer research organizations like the American Red Cross and helping the environment by volunteering frequently at the Markham Park nursery located in Weston, Florida.
