Catastrophic Injury/Spinal Cord Injury

A catastrophic injury is one that renders a person incapacitated. Paraplegia, quadriplegia, or other spinal cord injury, traumatic brain jury, amputations are all examples of injuries that are “catastrophic”. Long term medical care, nursing care and other assistance are almost always needed. If the injury was the result of another person’s negligence, a company’s negligence or occurred through the use of a defective product, the at-fault party may be held responsible. Life care plans and other medical and financial needs have to be assessed in order to fairly compensate the injured victim. At Itzler & Itzler, P.A., we understand that the entire family suffers when a catastrophic injury occurs. And while we continue to hope that these injuries never occur, we know that they still do. Compassionate, thoughtful and tenacious representation will not restore someone’s health but it could be the difference that provides the resources to restore dignity and a measure of comfort to those that need it most.
