Ellen R. Itzler concentrates her law practice in the area of real estate financing, transactional real estate law and commercial leasing providing her with an extensive and varied knowledge of Florida real estate issues. Ms. Itzler has represented clients in all phases of acquisition, sale, development, leasehold estates, loans, easement interests and 1031 exchanges.
Ms. Itzler’s experience in structuring complicated real estate transactions enables her to offer her corporate, institutional and individual clients innovative approaches to facilitate projects without jeopardizing the security or business goals of the transaction.
Ms. Itzler also has broad-based experience in the area of title examination. This knowledge has provided a solid foundation of title issues related to both transactional matters and mortgage financing.
In addition, Ms. Itzler has extensive experience in the area of landlord and tenant representation including the negotiation, drafting and financing of leasehold interests and the legal issues related to the management of leasehold property.
Ms. Itzler’s practice encompasses commercial real estate-based financing as well. She has represented developers, borrowers and lending institutions in matters involving all types of loan transactions including acquisitions, refinances, modifications, extensions, renewals, development loans, leasehold mortgages, construction documentation, spreader and workout agreements.
Ms. Itzler is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.A. with high honors in Philosophy, 1980) and received her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law (J.D. 1983). She has been individually awarded an AV rating (the highest rating granted) by Martindale-Hubbell.
Ms. Itzler serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Shepard Broad School of Law, Nova Southeastern University and is a member of the Florida Bar and the Broward Bar Association.
